Staying hydrated is the most crucial part of treating a sore throat. A dehydrated body is unable to produce enough saliva and mucus to naturally lubricate a sore throat. All this will cause swelling and inflammation making the throat worse.

Water is a very good choice as well as warm tea and soups. However, avoid consuming very hot tea and soup as they might burn your already sensitive throat. Strictly avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they dry out your throat even more.

Try wicker baskets

My family bathroom does not have a lot of space. My parents were always looking for a towel storage option until I brought home a wicker basket. Wicker baskets give you a country tidy country feel.

Just fold all the spare and newly-washed towels in squares and pile them in a stack to make the most out of the wicker basket.

In case you have a big family, make sure to have 2 wicker baskets, one for the washed ones and the other one for the dirty towels.
