Ask for Help

If you are like me, you probably don’t ask others for help. We can spend an hour trying to figure out a way to format an excel file but won’t lower our pride to ask someone else. Some tasks can be very simple, especially if you can get help and save yourself from spending hours doing them by yourself. Next time you are struggling to get something done, ask a colleague or a friend to help you.

Invest in a silk pillowcase

Most pillowcases are made of cotton, which naturally suck in moisture, and can have a rough texture, causing your hair and skin to look dull despite your best efforts.

Invest in a silk pillowcase

You may want to invest in a silk pillowcase or hair wrap. Silk's smooth texture allows for hair to glide across the surface without being agitated or damaged in your sleep.

The best silk for hair is mulberry silk - the fineness of its fibers make the material extra smooth - and while it may be hard to get past the price tag, they last for years and help to give your hair a little extra shine.

Have Soup

Drinking soup can be an effective home remedy to treat cold. Warm soup with a little more salt can help clear the nasal passageway. It has mild anti-inflammatory effects on the body and also relieves body pain and sore throat. The soup has a blend of vitamins and minerals that our body can benefit from. Drinking fluids is necessary when you have flu.Have Soup

Drive less

Carbon dioxide emissions from transportation are the biggest cause of greenhouse gases. Whenever possible, try to take public transit, or walk to your destination. This is not only better for the planet, but as an added bonus you may find yourself shedding a few pounds.

If you absolutely must drive a car, try to go easy on the gas and brakes, as well as air conditioning. Also try to carpool whenever possible to save fuel. Tiny changes can make all the difference when there are literal tons of carbon dioxide being emitted from cars each year.

Eat a Healthy Diet

Eating a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy products and skimping on saturated fat and cholesterol can lower your blood pressure by as much as 11 mm Hg if you have high blood pressure. This eating plan is known as the DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension).

Keep a food diary. Writing down what you eat, even for a week, can shed surprising light on your true eating habits. Control what you eat, how much, when, and why.

Be a smart shopper. Read food labels when shopping and stick to your healthy eating plan when dining out, too.

Build off of an idea

Every single book that you see in a bookstore or a library has started in the same place: an idea. All you need to start your manuscript is an idea that excites you. What do you want to write? What topics are you passionate about? If you try to force an idea that you aren't really committed to, writing a book will feel like an impossible chore. You have to write for yourself and your own enjoyment. It all starts with an idea.

Eat more protein

Having a meal can give your metabolism a boost for a few hours. Eating protein helps to fill you up and keep you from overeating. Eating more protein keeps you from eating too many calories while also ensuring that you are burn more calories off. While this will help you lower your intake for the day, you will still retain your muscle. It is an easy way of boosting your metabolism without any drastic changes to your lifestyle.

Take a Few Minutes Every day to Work-out
