Keep Cash on Hand

Japan isn't an underdeveloped country by any means. However, it's still a bit more reliant on cash as a primary source of payment. Vending machines can accept up to 10,000 yen bills, while even most small shops and businesses will have enough change to pay back on this bill. Credit cards are widely accepted at major restaurants and hotels and will probably get you through most of the trip—however, it's still advisable to keep some cash on hand.

Poison Bait

The alternative to killing rodents instantly would be poisonous bait. They're a pretty common way to kill rats in industrial locations and are effective as well. However, I highly recommend staying far away from poisonous baits if there are kids or pets at your house. You may just end up seriously injuring someone else. Rat poison might not kill pets and kids straight up, but it will make them seriously sick.

Think Tetris

The best way to fit all your stuff in one bag is to not leave any of the space. Your socks should be stuffed inside your shoes. Pack your shoes in a plastic bag and lay them at the bottom of the bag. How you arrange your stuff is more of a personal preference. Here are a few guidelines to help:

Roll your clothes. This helps to maximize space and minimize wrinkles.

Try the bundle technique. Wrap each article of clothing around a central core. Keep the undergarments and T-shirts at the center and larger sizes at the outer layer.

Use packing cubes. Take smaller bags and keep your clothes compact and your outfits ordered.

Send a picture of a cute animal

If you’re anything like me, you LOVE looking at the adorable and weird animal pictures on your Facebook feed. If you want to put a smile on someone’s face, randomly text them a picture of a cute animal doing something funny.

While looking for a picture to send to your friend, guess who’s going to have a good time scrolling through those pictures?

Come Up with a Funny and Witty Answer

Funny or witty responses are more ideal for people you have a more casual relationship with. Friends, classmates would find these answers funny and would take it lightly. Furthermore, responding with a simple “I’m fine” can be overkill. Send a meme or something like “I was fine until you asked” or “It’s a secret.” These are great for lightening the mood and we all like to laugh on our misery. Don’t we?

Store in cold place

Unlike other tree-borne fruits, pears ripen after being picked up and not while they are on the tree. The ripening stage is very narrow which leaves little room for error as they can spoil within a matter of hours. They are best stored in a cool, dry place.

Let her know you’ve been thinking about her

Word of advice: Don’t just point-blank state this to her during your first interaction.

But yes, girls love being told that they have been on your mind. Perhaps she had recommended a new track that you heard and loved, or maybe you came across a track that reminded you of her. Share this with her and see how she reacts. It’s likely she will first smile and then appreciate that you were thinking about her.
