Applying for grants

If you are unable to save enough money to pay for home improvements, then you can always apply for home improvement grants. Home improvement grants are not that hard to get. All you need is to meet the criteria of grants and apply for it. Different companies provide grants for specified home improvements. Whether you want to install solar panels, increase rooms or replace water heaters, they have grants for all of it.

Even if you cannot apply for home improvement grants, you can always consider remortgage. It is a little difficult, but it's worth a shot.

The Calender Method

If your menstrual cycle tends to be the same number of days from month to month, it is a good bet that you ovulate about two weeks or 14 days before your period is expected. Of course, this can vary based on your individual cycle. If you have a 35-day cycle, for example, you will most likely ovulate around day 21.

This method is less helpful if you have irregular periods that vary from month to month. On the other hand, if you have very regular cycles (that is, no less than 26 days and no less than 32 days), you can use the standard day's method, in which you focus on having sex on days 8-19 of your cycle.

Request

Instead of asking her/him to go on a date sometime, make a request that is hard to turn down. For example, instead of saying; “Would you like to go to a concert with me?” specify the date and timing, then say (without buying the tickets already) “I have tickets to a really cool band performing on Saturday night, it would be really fun if you came with me.” He/She can now imagine a fun night so chances are, if he/she does not have any special plans for Saturday night, you'll get a satisfying 'Yes'.

Empower instead of delegate

It is reasonable to feel reluctant while delegating, isn’t it? You always feel as though they won’t do it as well as you, or won’t do it the same way as you.

But guess what? That’s okay.

Get comfortable with the idea that they have leadership capabilities, just like you. Let them take care of the vital tasks assigned to them, while you concentrate on yours.

If you have worked for someone, think about how empowered you felt when they gave you the freedom to do things your own way.

Realize that your way is not always the best way. They might actually do it better than you.

Let them be in the driver’s seat, and be their safety net.

Load up on leafy greens

Make it a point to include leafy greens every day in at least one of your meals. Loading up on a cup of arugula, baby spinach, lettuce, or kale every day is one of the best things you can do for your overall health and inflammation. The antioxidants and bioactive compounds in these leafy greens help reduce inflammation and also keep free radicals from causing new inflammation.

Bottle Trick

Find an empty jar or a medium-size bottle that you can use to peel garlic. Place the garlic inside the jar, tighten the lid and start shaking. Shake until the cloves have separated. Open the jar and take out the peels. Put the lid back on and shake for a minute or two until you notice all the cloves peeled.
