Know what you're going to do beforehand

With any sort of performance, whether it be stand-up, music, or even just a short speech, you need to prepare and overprepare. Know exactly what you're going to say and do beforehand and have it down front to back. It can be fun to ad-lib, but that's something that only should be attempted once you have plenty of experience in front of a crowd.

If in the first few seconds of your performance you hesitate or look nervous, you will start to lose people immediately. It can also be easy to underestimate how nervous you will be once you finally get up there.

Preparing beforehand not only improves your chances of success, but also minimizes total disaster.

Research the company

When you’re preparing for an interview, you will want to make sure and look into the company that you are applying to work for. Many recruiters will ask you questions about your own intentions at the company. For example, you may hear “Why do you think this company is right for you?” or something along the lines of “Why do you want to work for this company?.” Knowing about the company’s mission, values and culture can help you answer these tricky questions.

In a cocktail shaker

Into a cocktail shaker, add ice, 2 parts whiskey, 1 part sweet vermouth, and a dash or two of bitters, such as angostura. The whiskey and vermouth are up to you, try picking some with complementary flavors or flavors that just taste good to you.

Rub an orange peel around the inside of your desired glass, add some ice, shake the shaker, and strain into said glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and enjoy!

Say it

So, you just met this girl and she is positive and she’s filling the room with so much energy. Don’t wait or hesitate to compliment her. Say whatever you feel as long as it’s a positive compliment and doesn’t sound rude. If for some reason they don’t like the compliment, apologize to them.

Use microfiber cloth

Padlocks are commonly used for locking establishment main gates. They are very popular for their convenience and durability. Because of such high durability, people tend to use them for long term such as 10 years or more. But like all other things in the world, a padlock also needs to be maintained and clean regularly. Cleaning a lock is simple. You can use a microfiber or a damp piece of cloth. You can add a mild detergent soup for effectiveness but do not use chemicals. It will damage the lock.

Borrow rather than buying

If you love a bracelet that you saw your friend wearing at last week’s pool party, don’t immediately go online searching for the bracelet. Especially if you plan on wearing the bracelet only on special occasions.

If you’re close with your friend, she’d be more than happy to lend you the bracelet. Why would you want to put in hundreds of dollars into something you’ll be wearing only twice or thrice a year? Borrow and lend, and you’ll spend much less.

Practice mindfulness

Practicing mindfulness helped me to develop awareness about my personality, my surroundings, my social circle, feelings, and actions. I used to observe my bad habit in mind without throwing judgments or feeling insecure.

As I became aware of the triggers and routine behaviors that lead to my bad habit, I found it easier to replace the bad habit with a good one. I did not act to the urges. Instead, I changed my focus and spent time doing other things, such as reading a book.
