Best Ways to Cheer yourself up

1

Call a Friend

We all have a friend who is our personal comedian. Give your friend a call and talk about how things are going. Crack some jokes and by the end of the conversation, you will definitely feel much better. Reconnecting with an old friend is exciting and fun. Plan to get together and have fun later.

Find your comfort thing

When you’re feeling down in the dumps, it can seem impossible to pull yourself out of it. When you start feeling this way, go to the one thing that always makes you happy and cheers you up. Find a comfort thing that you can go to when things get hard. This can be anything: a hobby you love, the show that always makes you laugh, songs you like to sing to in the car. Just find the one thing that helps you feel more like yourself.

Eat Out

For some people, food is the best way to make them happy. If you are having a bad day or are just tired, eat out. You can go to your favorite place or try something you have been thinking of. If you wanted to try some authentic Mexican tacos that you have been watching on the internet for a while, find a Mexican place near you and grab a taco.

You won’t have to cook for yourself and will generally admire going to a place. Once in a while, we all need to disconnect from work life and enjoy ourselves. Eating out at a place you like going to is a way to disconnect and relax.

Take a shower

This may sound like a random way of trying to make yourself better, but it really is crazy how much different you can feel after taking care of your hygiene. Getting out of your dirty clothes and taking a shower can be cathartic. Think of it as a way of taking off the sadness and leaving it somewhere else. Your problems can seem much more manageable after some time to yourself and some clean underwear.

Watch Your Favorite Youtuber

There is always a YouTuber who we are loving to watch. If you are like me, you definitely have a habit of escaping reality by binge-watching videos on YouTube. A great way to cheer yourself up when you are bored or in a bad mode is to watch videos. Watching the videos will be an escape from reality but it is one of the quickest ways to forget reality and feel happy. Watch comedy shows or funny videos to cheer up where ever you are. Even if you have just 15 minutes, go for it.
