Before you go to bed, try to make sure you have everything done for the day and prepared for the next morning. Make a list of anything that will help to make your morning as painless as possible: get your clothes ready the night before, have your sink free of dishes, enough coffee to last the morning. Having everything ready and organized for the day will start it off on a high note and let you stop dreading getting out of bed.

Eat at a calorie deficit

The only way to truly lose weight is to eat at a calorie deficit, meaning that you're consuming fewer calories than you're burning.

To know how many calories you should be burning, you will want to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) to know how many calories you burn in a day while stationary. For most women, it should be around 1700, while for most men, it will be around 2400. This varies based on your height and weight.

Then, taking into account your lifestyle, (sedentary, lightly active, or active) you can then figure out how many calories you should be eating in a day. To lose weight quickly, you will want to eat at a deficit of around 500 calories, which will put you at a weight loss of around 1 lb/week.

To track your calories, it can be beneficial to use a food logging app. You can then plug in what you've eaten that day and the app will give you the calorie count so that you can plan your meals accordingly.

Stick to your goals, stay focused, and eat at a calorie deficit, and you will be shedding pounds in no time.

If you know the guy at the local grocery store, ask them if you could borrow a dolly from them. You can also buy or rent a dolly. Search for it on Facebook Marketplace or Amazon. A moving dolly can help you move the boxes around because you won’t have to carry everything.

Baked Potato Wedges

Potato wedges are easy and they make a delicious side dish. Wash potatoes and free them from dirt or dust. If you like, you can also remove the potato skin with a peeler.

Cut the potatoes in 8-12 long wedges. Wash them with cold water and let them dry in a strainer. In a non-stick oven-safe pan, brush some olive oil to avoid the wedges from sticking to the pan. Throw the wedges in the pan and drizzle some olive oil. Season with a dash of salt, black pepper or/and paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Use a spatula to mix and coat the wedges with oil and seasoning.

Lay each of them away from others and let them bake in the oven at 400 degrees F for 20-45 minutes. When the top looks crispy and golden brown, take them out and serve fresh. You can also garnish them with rosemary or thyme.

People often complain about going to bed early but they find it very hard to sleep soon and end up staying awake till mid-night. When we are trying to sleep, we often forget that we want to sleep and go on with our thoughts and imaginations wherever it takes us.

Some people remember the good days and some start stressing over how the next day will be like. Either way, your mind will be roaming the labyrinth of unplanned thoughts. To avoid this, develop a habit of noticing where are you during the day.

When you will stop your mind from thinking and ask what you are doing during the day, you will be doing it during the night as well. When you are finally back to your bed mentally, close your eyes, and count or think of something that can help you sleep.
