Sort by color

Legos are one of those toys that are a ton of fun, but a pain to keep track of. With so many little pieces of varying shapes, sizes and colors, it’s no wonder that so many pieces get lost in your home. While building lego sets, kids usually recognize the pieces by size and color. An easy way to make this process easier for them is by sorting legos into containers categorized by color.

Peanut Butter Smoothie

Peanut butter smoothie is easy and quick. If you are a lover of peanut butter and dates, this is the perfect one for you. Start your day with a huge glass of peanut butter smoothie or consume it whenever you are hungry. Add 4-6 pitted dates, 2 spoons of peanut butter, and a cup of milk into the blender. Blend until everything is well combined. You can also add ice if you are up for a chilled drink.

Water Bottle

Put candy in your non-transparent water bottle. No one will suspect candy in a water bottle and they are always allowed in classrooms. Open the bottle and transfer the candy to a pocket or eat straight out of the bottle.

Give your subject some breathing space

When you are composing your food photos, leave some breathing space around the plate so that it doesn’t fill the entire frame. While close-up food shots can look great, leaving some empty negative space will create a more pleasing look and add focus on the food at the center.

Deal with stress

Stress causes your body to release a hormone that makes you gain weight and lose muscle. Do all you can (exercise, meditate, get enough sleep, etc.) to de-stress so you don’t end up putting on weight.

The most helpful tool here is exercise. Exercise not only helps with the process of toning your body, but it also releases endorphins which counter the hormones produced because of stress, which in turn helps you tone your body.

Appreciate small efforts and progress

The best way to encourage someone to keep trying is to appreciate the efforts they have put in so far, and the progress they made, regardless of how small it is.

It’s also helpful if you praise them for going the extra mile, even if they failed.

Basically, this appreciation works as positive reinforcement. The person is more likely to be motivated to keep working on something if they receive appreciation for their efforts.

Using an avocado slicer

If you're not super confident with your knife skills, and pitting an avocado with a knife sounds scary to you, you may want to invest in an avocado slicer/pitter. They take all the stress out of avocados and basically do the work for you.

Some come with a sort of "mouth" with jagged teeth that you simply place over the avocado pit, squeeze, and out the pit comes. They also have slicing tools that give you perfect, even avocado slices without having to wash another utensil.
