Food production is responsible for wildlife extinction as well. What we eat has a huge effect on greenhouse gas emissions. We are responsible for 60% biodiversity loss when it comes to our eating habits. Producing dairy products and meat requires the use of large spaces, machines, and unlimited inputs of feed and water. Producing meat emits more carbon dioxide gas than growing plants fruits and vegetables. Adopting a plant-based diet and restraining from maintaining a meat-based diet can lower the impact on the environment.
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Everything you buy and throw away affects the planet. Be thoughtful of the things you buy because when you buy a product, you create a demand for it. Buy only what you need and try to reuse what you already have. Your buying less plastic can help decrease the global demand for plastic production. Stop using plastic bags and packaging. Use glass containers and washable handbags. Reuse containers and learn to dispose them properly.
Litter can destroy soil and its ability to grow new plants because when the chemicals such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and dioxin from various products seep into the ground, they can lower protein concentration and expression of the soil. If there is a nearby site in your vicinity that is littered, volunteer to clean it. Become a part of a local clean-up community or donate to a local cleaning community to join the cause.
Conserve limited resources such as water and natural gas. When taking a shower play your favorite song that plays for 4 to 5 minutes. Adjust your bathing activities according to the lyrics and try to finish off before the song ends.
Switch to sustainable energy. If you have a car that runs on gas, buy an electric one next time when you plan on changing it. Take a bus to work or walk to nearby places to avoid polluting the environment.

A peaceful protest is the only way to make your MP into taking action to save this planet. However, it’s not always about talking to people with authority.
