Stay calm

Many smoke because smoking helps to relieve stress. The problem is, quitting smoking is immensely stressful which makes people want to smoke more.

Try using other techniques to relieve stress: exercise, giving yourself plenty of time to rest, taking up a new hobby, or connecting with friends. These are great ways to fill up time, ease stress, and help you to take your mind off of cigarettes. Try also to find a good time for yourself to quit smoking. If you try while you're taking on a big project at work, you're likely to sneak a smoke on your way home.

Consume Spicy Food

Now, this may not be the healthiest option but it may work as a wonder for some people. Food that is extra spicy can give some people diarrhea because it can disturb the bowel movement. If you are constipated eat a fiber-rich diet that is spicy, to relieve constipation. The spice may make you a bit uncomfortable because it’s hot and can cause gas, or burning in the stomach.

Vitamin D Rich Foods

Red meat, liver, egg yolks, mushrooms, and salmon are rich sources of vitamin D. Your daily food intake should provide you with 20mcg of vitamin D every day.

Most vitamin D rich foods are also good sources of proteins and fatty acids that help nourish the mind and body. Eggs are a great source of vitamin D and are perfect for breakfast. Organic eggs are a better source of vitamin D.

Studies have shown that pasture-raised chickens that roam outside in the sun lay eggs with higher vitamin D content. Vitamin D Rich Foods

Index Funds

Index funds give you a way to invest in a completely passive stock market. For example, if you invest money in an index fund that is based on the S&P 500 index, you will invest in the general market without having to worry about choosing investments, rebalancing your portfolio, or knowing when to sell or buy individual companies. All of this will be managed by the fund that will base the fund's portfolio on the underlying index's composition.

Brighten up the room

If you’re in an environment with dim lighting when fighting sleepiness, it’s helpful to increase the intensity of light in your room. Studies suggest that exposing yourself to bright light can help tackle sleepiness and promote alertness.

Log off of social media

If I had to name the number one biggest problem when it comes to focusing on my work, it would be social media. It's hard to resist from picking up your phone and scrolling through Tik Tok, but you have to if you're going to effectively study for your exam. Log off (or delete the app completely) and put your phone on Do Not Disturb. You'll find that it is so much easier to focus when you're not distracted by whatever Donald Trump tweeted twenty minutes ago. Log off of social media

Do Homework

When you are going to a job interview, you don’t know what questions you will be required to answer but if you are interviewed because you wrote a book or are working for a social cause, you can access the questions easily before the interview.

Read the questions and think of the best answers you can come up with. If it’s a job interview, talk to someone who had the experience of getting interviewed at the same firm or search online. Keep the answers natural, neutral, and short. You are giving an interview not a speech!

Do Homework

French Press

Pour the coarse ground coffee into the carafe, then fill with boiling water before quickly stirring. After waiting four minutes for the coffee to steep, replace the lid and slowly push the plunger down to separate the coffee grounds. You can decide to serve immediately (or transfer to a separate carafe), as the coffee will continue to brew and become more bitter if left in the press for too long.
