Best Ways to Purify water

Filter Jug

If you are not satisfied with the purity of the drinking water, you can filter it. Installation of a filter purifier is better if you have a large family. If you live alone, then instead of investing in a costly filter, you can buy a filter jug.

Filter jugs are cheap and they can filter the water instantly. You will have to fill it with the tap water and get to drink purified water when it passes through the filters and pours into a glass.

Try the distillation method

The distillation method involves heating the water and collecting it in the form of vapor. As per scientific evidence, this is the most effective method. Why? Because water’s boiling point is lower as compared to other disease-causing bacteria and contaminants present in the water.

Water is heated until it reaches the boiling point. After that, the collected vapors are reversed to water, which is safe and healthy for humans to consume. Other contaminants that have a higher boiling point are left behind as waste.

Filter the water

Use the right multimedia filters to get rid of the unwanted compounds of water. Filtration consists of different physical and chemical processes to purify water. This method is effective as it eliminates both, small and large unwanted compounds in the water. Besides, it also removes dangerous contaminants way quickly as compared to chlorination.

Many people, including me, prefer filtration over the purification process because it does not deplete or remove all the salts and minerals present in the water. This is the reason why this method is considered healthier.

Boil Water

Boiling water is the easiest and the oldest way to purify the water because it kills the germs. Boiled water is good for you if you are suffering from diarrhea or bacterial infections. In a large pot boil the water for 2-5 minutes and remove it from heat. Let it cool completely, then use a microporous sieve or 100% cotton cloth to filter the impurities.

Chlorinate the water

Chlorine is being used for many years to purify water. Chlorine is an effective yet strong chemical that kills parasites, germs, and other disease-causing contaminants found in unpurified water.

You can either use liquid chlorine or chlorine tablets. The off-shelf water-cleaning agent is quite cheap yet effective.

However, if you suffer from thyroid, it is best to consult a practitioner before you start using the product. From all the side effects that I know, it is not a suitable product for thyroid patients.
