Warm Bath

A warm bath can help you relieve stress and calm your body. Before going to bed, take a 10-to-20-minute shower that makes the body warm and helps destress. After a warm bath, when you go to sleep, your body tension will be relieved. As the body gradually cools down, it may help you fall asleep. Some studies have shown that bathing before bed can help improve the quality of sleep.

Put your phone away

It's hard to schedule time for yourself when we're all so easily reachable at the press of a button. If you want to relax, try turning your phone off for even just an hour. Being unreachable can feel oddly liberating, and can ease a lot of stress and pressure put on you by hearing the constant pinging of phone notifications.

Organize your thoughts

Before you can pitch your idea to a group of people, you need to make sure you are clear on what you are going to be presenting to them. Write down your idea and how you are going to explain it. If you can, make an outline of how you plan to present your idea to your group. Practice your presentation so that you can fix any awkward kinks that you may find in the pitch.

From scalp to tips

When you have a problem, you always have to go straight to the root. Having a healthy scalp can do wonders for your hair. Your scalp is responsible for keeping oils and healthy bacteria that promote hair growth. When you over wash or use too many hair products, it can disrupt the delicate balance of your scalp. Using too much dry shampoo can also exacerbate scalp issues like dandruff and itchiness. Make sure you are detoxing your scalp with a treatment or scrub a few times a month.

Cut Sugar

Consuming a lot of sugar at once gives our body a high level of blood glucose which acts as a temporary energy boost. The spike in blood glucose also results in the release of insulin. The rise and fall of energy levels because of blood glucose can make you energetic and lethargic. Avoid consuming sugar and eat more complex carbs such as wheat and barley for long-lasting energy.

Quit smoking

Giving up cigarettes helps improve your HDL cholesterol level. The positive effects kick in fairly quickly:

- 20 minutes after you quit, your heart rate and blood pressure will normalize

-  3 months after you quit, you’ll notice an improvement in your lung function and blood circulation

- 1 year after you quit, the risk of heart disease almost halves as compared to a smoker

Sleep Well

A disturbed sleeping pattern can be a consequence of depression. It can be very hard to shut your eyes and fall asleep if you are suffering from depression. However, if you can manage to shut out the thoughts and have a good night’s sleep, you will wake up feeling much better in the morning.

Sleep Well

If you have trouble sleeping at night and keep waking up in the middle of the night, take short naps during the day.
