Make Your Night Stand Functional

When your room requires organization, there is a high-chance your nightstand is also cluttered. To make the nightstand functional and your room organized, empty the nightstand from the mess that is consuming it.

Keep only those things on and inside your night-stand that you would need at night before sleep or while you are lying in bed. Things such as a book you are reading, a pair of socks, night-serum, and moisturizer should be taking up space inside the night-stand drawers.

A lamp on the nightstand will be a practical addition if you don’t already have one. To embellish it, you can also add a wooden box for putting jewelry or a picture frame with the pictures of loved ones or a quote that motivates you. 

Hydrating Skincare

Aside from keeping your entire body hydrated, you can supplement your skin's hydration with skincare products. You should look for products that have hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. HA helps replenish your skin by hydrating it and combating early signs of aging. Ceramides are also a great ingredient in skincare. They work to repair and rebuild your skin's moisture barrier in order to prevent the loss of moisture. There are many products with these ingredients on the market in a variety of price ranges.

Vitamin C Tablets

Vitamin C has long been touted as a great way to naturally lighten hair. This is because of the citric acid it contains, which breaks down your hair and lightens the color. To do this, crush up a vitamin C tablet (or just use vitamin C powder), mix with water, and spray it onto your hair. Rinse and shampoo it out after about thirty minutes. Your hair will be naturally brightened and cleansed of mineral build up.

Protect yourself from the sun

The most common and preventable type of cancer is skin cancer. Avoid midday sun and try to stay out of sunlight from 10 AM to 4 PM. The sunrays at this time are the strongest and might damage your skin cells.

Stay below shade whenever you are outside. If you can’t avoid the sun rays, wear a broad-brimmed hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Your face and hands are the most exposed body parts so wear loose-fitting and tightly-woven clothes to cover your hands and arms. To reflect ultraviolet radiation, wear bright or dark-colored clothes.

And now comes the most important tip: Do not skip sunscreen, even if you are at home. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30+. Wear it generously and re-apply every 2 hours. This will also help you to avoid the usual tan.

Use Skin Serums

There is a huge demand for skincare serums because they are so good for the skin. The vitamin C and hyaluronic acids can help lighten the spots and give you an even skin tone. They also help decrease acne spots giving you overall healthier skin.

There is a huge variety of serums in the market that can help you get rid of acne or at least start getting rid of acne and spots. Find the right one for your skin type and wear it every night before going to bed. There are almost no permanent side effects of using skin serums, some temporary side effects include itching, redness, and tingling sensation.

Fast 12 hours in 24 hours

Fasting has numerous health benefits; it helps curb the cravings and follow a meal plan that helps lose fat. If you often find yourself munching up on unhealthy snacks because why not? Then you need to try a 12 hour-long fast.

You can fast during the day or at night. But there will be no eating during the fast. To fats at night, eat dinner before 7 pm and don’t eat breakfast or anything else before 7 am.

This will help the body burn its fat reservoirs because you won’t be consuming food to supply the body with energy. You can also exercise before sleep or after waking up to aid the body in shedding fats.

A 12 hour fast during the day can be tougher than a night fast but, it can stop you from eating most of the unhealthy snacks. During the 24 hours, you would only be eating dinner and breakfast which means no lunch and snacking in between. For a 12 hour fast, wake up early in the morning and eat a healthy breakfast. Because you will be fasting for 12 hours, you can eat a large portion.

Add meat, eggs, fresh fruits, and vegetables to your breakfast. Finish the breakfast before 7 am and wait till 7 pm for the next meal. You won’t lose your body muscle because you will be eating a healthy diet but the reduction in caloric intake will result in loss of body fat.

Read a book

One of the best ways to sleep is to go on your bed, get comfortable, and read a book in good light that does not strain your eyes. Since you are trying to sleep, read an informative, non-fiction book that tires your brain. Do not read a genre that interests you as that will keep you awake at night and you would not even know where all the time went.
