Best Ways to Ease tension

1

Listen to Music

Listening to music instantly makes us feel better. If you have been feeling stressed out for a while, play a song that you used to be crazy about in high-school. It will be nostalgic and stress-relieving. If you want to enjoy and get rid of the tension, dance to it or sing along. Music is considered one of the quickest therapies for stress.

Say NO When you have to

You cannot avoid every situation that stresses you but you can definitely some of them by saying NO. When you have the opportunity to decide what type of stress you can take and what type of stress you cannot or should not take, you also feel in control. When you already have a lot on your plate, say NO to avoid stressing yourself further. It can be saying no to a co-worker who asks you to complete her project or a friend asking you to help her find her missing dog. Such small things can stress us out and avoiding unwanted stress that is not yours to take can free you from a lot of problems.

Chew Gum

Researchers have explained that chewing gum sends chemical messages to the brain to stay relaxed. Chewing a piece of gum also improves the blood flow to our brain cells and relieves stressful thoughts. In people who chewed gum on a regular basis, the stress symptoms were lower than others who don’t chew gum very often.

Yoga

Yoga strengthens the connection between your mind and body. The comfortable physical poses, peace, and controlled breathing help your body and mind destress and relax. Slow deep breaths and a free mind can calm your mind. Get rid of the negative thoughts that are stressing you. Think about something that makes you relaxed and happy such as the sky or a flower garden.

Breathing Exercise

Breathing exercises help calm you and ease stress. Mental and emotional stress cannot be avoided completely in today’s world. When you feel that you are anxious or stressed, take a moment to forget everything and just breathe. Breathing is a great way to get rid of anxiety because it rids your mind of the thoughts and connects you to your present. Take a deep breath and then let it out. You will feel much better than before.
