Show some gratitude

It’s unfair to tell your parents that they owe it to you or that you “deserve” something. Yes, you are your parents’ responsibility, but that doesn’t mean you get everything you ask for even if it’s unreasonable.

If you genuinely want something from your parents, be sure to show them gratitude for so much that they have already done for you. Say, “Dad, you’ve been an awesome father. Thank you for buying me everything that I ask for.”

This is not to butter them up, it has to be a sincere appreciation. When you ask for something the next time, your parents will have the assurance that you will appreciate their efforts if they get you what you want. It also works as a positive reinforcement for them, because they know their child values their efforts. Showing gratitude and appreciation will increase the odds of getting a “YES” from your parents.

Focus on boring things

You can do the classic ‘counting sheep’ or ‘back counting’ technique. Any kind of boring task occupies your mind and distracts you from the surroundings. This phenomenon helps you to sleep again faster. Hence, reading a boring book like your coursebook or an article about a war might do the work for you.

The nucleus accumbent, present in your brain plays a significant role in pleasure and motivation. This part of the brain might be the reason why you fall asleep when you are bored.Focus on boring things

Vegetable Rice

Vegetable rice is super-delicious and very easy to make. They can be made with vegetables and meat broth you probably have in your refrigerator. To make vegetable rice, finely chop your favorite vegetables. I use green onions, red cabbage, carrots, green peas, and some garlic. Finely chop or mince garlic.

Wash and set rice aside. In a large pan, heat some oil and fry garlic, then add the rest of the vegetables and salt. Stir for a minute. Add a tablespoon of soy sauce and some black pepper. Wait until the vegetables are 50% cooked.

Measure the water you will need to cook the rice, along with the broth. Add the broth and water. Wait for them to boil. Transfer the rice to the pan and cook them as normal. The vegetable rice should have an amazing savory taste of broth and vegetables. 

Faulty Camera

If your institute doesn't force you to turn on your camera during a class, you're pretty much golden. However, if they do, you can still work around it and go to sleep without much hassle. All you have to do is tell the teacher that your camera is faulty. Stay in the class for the first 10-15 minutes and talk a bit, so the teacher knows you're there and paying attention. Once things settle down, mute the class and go to sleep. There's a 99% chance that the teacher won't even notice you're gone.

Moisturize your feet

If you have thick nails, then it is a good practice to moisturize your feet every night before going to sleep. It will not have an immediate effect, but it will show results in the long run.
