If you are feeling cold at home, you should invest in a heater to keep you warm. A blower heater effectively generates heat inside the room by making the air warmer. Find the right size of a blower heater for your living room or bedroom and get cozy.
To retain the body heat and stay warm when you are in a cold environment, add more layers of clothing. You could be wearing a sweater and a jumper on top but feel cold. The reason for this could be neglected parts of your body such as your hands, head, feet, and legs. Make sure that you are covering all of your skin and you have sufficient layers of clothing. Wear thermal leggings or underpants to keep the legs warm and if you don’t have thick socks, wear 2 pairs of socks. You might look like a goose at the end but you won’t be cold anymore.
Eating fats ignites the body’s inner heat chamber. The body needs energy for digestion, which in turns helps keep us warm. Fats take their own sweet time to metabolize, so your body will keep warm for longer. So, if you’re feeling cold - have a pack of peanuts or a healthy dose of almonds and cashews.
Coffee has caffeine that boosts metabolism and heats up the body by burning fuel. Additionally, the hot beverage tastes great and can make you cozy any time of the day. People all around the world depend on coffee in the winter season to keep their body warm.
Remember the last time you gulped down a bunch of jalapenos or you put a ton of Tabasco in your sandwich? Do you also remember the sweating that followed? Although that may have been a mistake, you can learn from it and apply it when you feel cold and want to warm up. Spicy foods are an excellent way to warm up your body, as long as you don’t have ulcers. Spicy diets are actually pretty healthy, but be sure to do it in moderation.
This is particularly helpful if your home has cold floors. Strap up a pair of warm socks. Not only they’re cozy, but keeping your feet warm makes the rest of your body feel warmer as well. If you have a pair of (preferably unused) shoes at home, put them on too!
