Meditation helps release stress, improves blood flow, and overall feeling of happiness. You might start feeling sad if you don’t find something to involve with when you are free and bored. Once you start going into that sadness, it will ruin your mood for the rest of day or maybe days in some cases.
Start meditating if you want to kill your time on something healthy. It will make you feel lighter, happier, and fresher.
Yes, meditation helps you be more mindful. However, that’s not the sole way to be more mindful. In simpler words, mindfulness is the act of “being in the moment.”
We have plenty of opportunities every day where we can practice mindfulness, but we choose to look at memes instead. So, withdraw yourself for a moment and absorb the sights and sounds all around you. Your time will fly!
Call your friend and tell them everything you have been doing lately. Ask them about their day and what’s up in their life. Crack some jokes and remember the old days. Tell them you miss them and plan to hang out someday. It can also help improve your mood and destress.
It’s a digital era and I’m going to take names of some things that have almost vanished from our society, hope you still remember them. Books, magazines, and newspapers, OH! Do you still remember those?
What our new generation considers old fashioned are the most beneficial, healthy, and interesting time killing things. Unlike the numerous health side effects (especially eyes) of mobile and laptop, books and magazines are so much healthier for your brain. Your ability to imagine a whole picture in your mind with just the words of the author opens up your mind.
Getting so many perks in just trying to kill time. I don’t think you can get that much in any other activity.
Snap some selfies to kill time. Fix your tie, makeup, or hair and look for a nice spot. If you are outside, you can capture the view at your back or find a nice plant or fountain behind you to take a selfie. Don’t forget to edit and post them.
Read a novel, or a magazine, oh and newspapers – if you remember what those are. I know people who tell me that they are not into reading, and yet they gladly read a ton of text on their smartphones.
If you have some time to kill, read a little something. Not only will you pass time, but you’ll also learn something new. And who knows, you might end up loving it!
If you have a cluttered desk, messy wardrobe, or a congested wallet or purse – it’s time to reorganize.
Cleaning is different from organizing, and we want to organize. When you organize, you know where your stuff exactly is. When you put in new stuff, you know where it’s supposed to go. Basically, you want to build a system that will minimize the need to reorganize in the future.
This way, you can kill some time and make your life easier.
When you are bored, listen to your favorite playlist. Play a song that you like listening to. Make sure to wear ear-phones if you are in a public place. You can also go online and listen to old songs. Listening to old songs can also bring back lots of memories and joy.
If you have clothes lying around your room and your closet needs some re-organization, why not kill time doing it? You might find many stylish items that you have not been using lately.
Make a list of clothing items you would like to buy. Pack things you don’t wear anymore or can’t fit into and donate them.
